Most of the days I whisper to God De Profundis. My voice carries in my mind:
"De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine;
Domine, exaudi vocem meam.
Fiant aures tuae intendentes
in vocem deprecationis meae.
Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine,
Domine, quis sustinebit?..."
My mind echoes empty, wondering if he is listening. I cry to him, I pray, silence... Is answer in silence or in cries of the heart, or soul being torn to shreds? "De
profundis clamavi ad te, Domine... " Please uplift me out of this mud, this hole... Is there an answer to the pain, to the sea of sadness? Is there an answer to prayers to end
it all? "De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine..." Is there ectasy in pain? is there salvation in suffering? I was told only from pain and misery beauty is born, elation is born?
Where is that beauty? Where is that elation? Where is the salvation?
